Learn how to make a hand-knotted pearl necklace, using silk cord, freshwater pearls, and if desired, a few swarovski crystals to add novelty and sparkle. Once you learn how to knot pearls, you can make your own in different styles and lengths as well as repair or re-make heirloom and vintage pearl necklaces. For this class, I will have some neutral earth-tone color pearls to choose from, but on your own the rainbow is the limit.
Bring a work surface (beading mat, or a soft surface such as flannel or fleece work well), small sharp scissors, magnifier (if needed), and task light.
Materials fee: $18 (includes strand freshwater pearls, crystals, findings, toggle clasp, silk cord and knotting tweezers)
